| In Minors, players who are league age 7-10 will learn hitting, fielding, and pitching skills and they will be introduced to baseball strategies and decision-making. (Note: 7 year old players must have played one year in Prep to be eligible for minors). In the Minors Division the emphasis is upon building skills and confidence to prepare players for the Majors division and is primarily instructional. The Minors division also incorporates elements of competition that the players will encounter in Majors and the games are typically played more intensely than in lower levels of play. Managers, parents, and players should remember that the goal of practices and games is for players to build skills and confidence and to have fun. | |
