| | The Prep division prepares participants age 6 - 8 for the Minors division by reinforcing basic
skills that were learned in T-Ball, introducing more advanced skills, and providing players with an understanding of rules used in higher divisions. The Prep division is non-competitive. Scores are not recorded, and there are no standings. The goal of the Prep division is to learn the sport in a fun and fast-paced environment, encouraging a life-long love of the game. For the first half of the season, players hit from a pitching machine or from pitches thrown by a coach. In the second half of the season, player pitching is slowly introduced. Prep teams play once or twice a week and games typically last about ninety minutes. Teams practice one time per week, usually for 90 minutes. |
